Hi ladies! This week's assignment is tough...list all the things you know and love about yourself. Share a few of the via text or post them on the blog if you feel inclined to. And I challenge you to really dig deep on this one. Don't just say you are kind or you are loving...I'm sure you are, but really take some time to analyze your truths and see what you truly love about yourselves. Have a great day ladies!
Hello Ladies. I pray that everyone has a blessed day. I wanted to share with you one of the things I know and love about myself. "FORGIVENESS" I feel that one must forgive themselves in order to forgive anyone else. I have found out that when you have forgiven yourself, you will find it easier when it comes to forgiving others. After all, God did forgive us of all our sins!
ReplyDeleteSo, I have though long and hard about this. And to be honest there are very few things that I absolutely love about myself. Now, this isn't a stab at self pity nor am I digging for others to inspire me to love myself, but it is my reality, and I am content with it. I find it quite humbling to step outside of myself and acknowledge this about myself. it's not that I don't love myself. Perhaps that is one of the things that I like about myself, is my ability to be humble in/after a traumatic situation. I also like that I enjoy making others feel happy about themselves.
ReplyDeleteI need help understanding this, Jade. Are you saying that not loving a lot of things about yourself makes you humble? And you love that about yourself? I'm not sure that I understand that logic.
DeleteI could explain, and I will do my best, however ultimately it might not be for you to understand, it's important that I understand myself. If mom says that one of the things that she loves about herself is forgiveness, however I feel that she never forgives (of course I don't feel this way), Isn't it only important that she loves this about herself whether I love that about her or not. I can't honestly say that I can sit back and make a list of the things that I LOVE about myself. There are many things that I like about myself, but even those things could use improvement. I LIKE that I am humble even after tragic situations, but you and I both know as much as I worry, I am not consistently humble to say that it's a characteristic that I love about myself.
DeleteHi Jade,
DeleteYou are absolutely correct in that what you love about yourself is not for me to understand. It was arrogant of me to ask you to explain it or challenge you to explain it. Like you said, as long as you know what you know and love about yourself, that's all that matters....no need to yell with the all CAPS...lol
Oh Jenn... I could never tell at you. I know you asked because you were concerned, and you care. And I LOVE that about you...lol

ReplyDeleteHello ladies, this one is a little hard for me but I gave it a shot. What I love about myself is that I have a big heart. Most times I come across as this hard person that just doesn't care, but the reality is I do. I care a lot. And that's ok...
ReplyDeleteYou don't come across as hard that doesn't care to me. I'm glad and happy that you love this about yourself Jess.
DeleteThanks Jade!
DeleteSorry to wait to post at the tail end of the week but this took me some time to think about. This week taught me a few things. It's interesting how easy it is to pinpoint the things that need improvement about us but how difficult it is to pinpoint the things we like or love about ourselves. After much thought, I will say that I love how my energy has such an impact on people. I have the ability to change the moods of others simply by making a joke or smiling. I am thankful for that. I have the ability to encourage and inspire others in ways that others cannot. I love that I am unique and I have my own style. God has chosen me to be a leader and I love that.
ReplyDeleteThis is so true!
DeleteI just love all the things everyone loves about themselves. I think it is FANTASTIC!!! I have really gotten so much from the positive things everyone has put in this blog since we started it. I love you all, and pray we continue to encourage one another by sharing our thoughts. My affirmation for the day:
ReplyDeleteI release all feelings of worry and guilt.
That's great mom! I too am thankful for the experiences this blog has presented. I know that we will all be better women because of this and for that I thank you all. I love you!
