Congratulations on utilizing the first tool of Making a List. I pray that you were all successful at fasting from whatever your poison is/was. Though the tool only called for one week of fasting, why not challenge ourselves to fast from it for another week? Another month? The rest of the year? It's funny how hard it seems to simply eliminate the things that tear down your body, leaving the Temple in ruins. It will be challenging, but most great things in life are. Just remember that you don't have to do it alone. I would also like to add that I like what Shana did with the last comment on the last post. Which was reflecting on the challenges and successes she had during the week. I think this would be great to adopt. If we could all strive to post a comment reflecting on whatever the tool/exercises that was done for that week. I think that may be beneficial to us all.
Now, please join me for this weeks tool:
I found the following pledge on Tumblr:
Search the internet and you will find many more similar pledges. However, you will not find a pledge that is specifically geared for you and your Temple. Well, at least not until now. This week you are going to create your own pledge!
Tool: "My Temple Pledge"
Directions:
1. Create your own Pledge-- This pledge should be something that you strive to live by each and every day.
2. Post your Pledge on the blog NLT Wednesday (10 February 2015).
Please take the time to really think about what your pledge should be. The length doesn't matter, but rather the substance of the pledge, and the impact it will have on you, and perhaps the others within the group!
I hope to hear from you soon. God bless you.
My body, God's Temple. Trash access denied
ReplyDeleteI am Awake. Radicating all the beliefs that I have about myself. Unveiling the illusions. Questioning my limitations. Courageously facing my fears. Seeing from my heart. Living my highest truth. I am alive. I AM.
ReplyDeleteJennifer that is just beautiful.
DeleteMy pledge is "Being Positive"
ReplyDeleteIn the world as it is now, it is so hard to be positive and stay positive. Something happens to you in your day, that really bums you out, snd sll I can think about is how can I get even! But when you think you've gotten even, somehow you feel worse. The ladt 2 days I've been trying to see and stay positive. I must say, it is not an easy thing to do. I've found myself praying continually! But at the end of the day, o feel somewhat of a relief. For everything that can turn ugly and negative, look for the good in it. I have a favorite scripture "The Lord Is My Shepherd" Psalms 23:1. I look at this scripture regularly, and it really helps me. I'm not sure if this is what you are asking us to do Jade, but this is something I wanted to share with everyone. God Bless you all.
Sorry for all the incorrect spelling in my response, but I was doing it on my phone instead of computer.
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing mom. However, what is your pledge for being positive.
DeleteMy pledge is for every negative thing I see or hear, find the positive in it. I will also say and or do 2 positive things a day.
DeleteMy pledge is "Being Positive In All Situations "
DeleteSorry this is so late, but here it is...
ReplyDeleteMy pledge is "Love Myself"
I have struggled with low self-esteem and no self love for pretty much all of my life. Always comparing myself to the next person, be it shape, size, beauty or success. This is why I'm pledging to "Love Myself" I pledge to love myself no matter what my size is. I pledge to always think I'm beautiful with and without make-up! I will think more highly of myself and give myself more credit. I pledge to love myself enough to know that I alone am enough. I have value and worth. No longer will I beat myself up over all the bad not considering all the good about myself. I pledge to LOVE MYSELF NO MATTER WHAT
This pledge, in my opinion is on is something most women can attest to.
DeleteMy pledge.
ReplyDeleteI pledge to make every effort possible to spend less time on my phone and more time in my bible feeding my spirit. I also pledge to recognize my own authority of my temple and not allow anything that is not edifying in. I also would like to grant each of you permission to hold me accountable to my pledge. Call me out often until my pledge becomes my life style w/o me having to think about it.
